How do I clear my parking spot?

Open Parking Pin and tap Clear on your saved spot. It's removed instantly from your device. The next time you park, just save a new pin.

Does it work offline?

Yes — completely. Parking Pin is offline-first. Saving and viewing your spot never needs a network connection, so it works even with no signal.

Where is my data stored?

Only on your phone, in the encrypted iOS Keychain. Nothing is uploaded — the app has no server and never sends your data anywhere.

What if GPS isn't accurate?

In tight spots, GPS can drift a few meters. Add a quick photo of your level, bay number, or a nearby landmark when you save your spot — it's the fastest way to close the last few steps.

Can I back up my spot to iCloud?

No — and that's by design. Your spot lives only on your device and is never synced to iCloud or any cloud. This keeps your location completely private. Since a parking spot is only useful for the current trip, there's nothing to back up.

Does this work in underground garages?

The saved pin works offline, so viewing it underground is no problem. Note that GPS itself can be weak below ground — for multi-level garages, saving a photo of the level and bay number is the reliable way to find your car.

What about permissions?

Parking Pin asks for Location (to drop a pin) and, optionally, Photos (to attach a reference image). Both are used only when you save a spot, everything stays on-device, and you can change either anytime in iOS Settings → Parking Pin.
